Makiyo Narushima

Makiyo Narushima has over 30 years of successful international finance experience in Europe and Japan, as well as 10 years experience with a leading Japanese flavor and fragrance company.

Makiyo started his carrier at Mitsui Bank, Tokyo. He served as Manager of Brussels Branch, Belgium where he was responsible for the business development of local corporate as well as the trade finance business with Maghreb countries. He also managed security portfolio backed by derivative. In London, he was responsible for Euro bond underwriting business where he obtained the mandate from EBRD for their first JPY Euro bond issuance. In Paris, France, from 1996 he as General manager of the Branch, he managed Branch operations and successfully developed business with Large French corporations. Since 1999, at BNP Paribas, Tokyo, he served as Head of International corporate. From 2005, As Managing Director of Credit Agricole, Tokyo, he managed the team of Trade Finance, Project Finance, Derivative business. From 2010, he joined T. Hasegawa Co Ltd, the second largest Flavor/Fragrance  company in Japan. He was responsible for Global business development as well as Finance Director. Thanks to multiple overseas M&A transactions, T. Hasegawa boasts good performances in recent years. In 2021 Mr. Narushima joined The Taffrail Group as a Senior Advisor. 

 Mr. Narushima holds his Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Tokyo. He received a Certificate of Political Sciences from Sciences-Po of Paris in France.

He also received an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. He also served as a Director of Planet Finance Japan, an NGO arm of the Microfinance leader, Planet France.
