Mr. Daniel D. Dinur

Senior Advisor

Dan Dinur has been engaged in the practice of law and business for the last 40 years. He began his legal career in Pittsburgh at the firm now known as K&L Gates LLP, and then practiced as a partner in two large firms in Dallas and Atlanta. In 1990, Dan founded a boutique law firm in Atlanta currently known as Dinur and DeLuca, LLP. Throughout Dan’s career he has devoted a major portion of his time to advising US companies in their international activities and foreign companies in their US activities. Dan’s particular expertise has been in designing the legal structure for an American or foreign company’s entry into, maintenance of and exit from an offshore investment, taking into account the business, political, cultural, regulatory, corporate and tax factors relevant to the company’s investment in the host country. Understanding and effectively integrating the influence of these factors into the ultimate strategy enabled Dan to contribute to the success of several American companies’ involvement in privatization transactions in the early 1990s in Russia and, more recently, establishing manufacturing facilities by American companies in Poland and China and joint ventures by Norwegian and Israeli companies in the US.

A natural outgrowth of Dan’s lengthy legal practice has been the development of a network of business, legal and government contacts in various countries. Making these contacts available to clients has enhanced Dan’s effectiveness in serving the clients’ needs.

Dan is a native of Vilnus, Lithuania, and has lived in Poland and Israel before coming to the US in 1969. He holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School.

Dan’s activities over the years include serving on the Board of Directors of the Georgia (Statewide) Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Governors of the Georgia Industry Association and the Alumni Advisory Board of the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech. He is a founder and a director of NC Technologies, LLC, an Atlanta-based nano-technology company.

Dan remains fluent in Russian and Hebrew and has a working knowledge of Polish and other Slavic languages. He is an amateur film historian and avid follower of Manchester United FC.
